For years, I have wished for one thing for my birthday: cold weather.  My birthday is in late November, and every single year it has been in the high 80s on my birthday.  Ugh!   This year, I turned 40, and the weather finally heeded my cry.   The temps on my birthday were in the 60s or so, which was good enough for me.  In the past few weeks, things have cooled off even more.  We had a few days of temps in the 40s and 50s, plus a couple of days of rain.  I don’t think the temperature has risen above 80 for at least two weeks.  Woooooot!

Need to stock up on firewood.  As silly as it may seem to some of my Yankee friends, we light our fireplace when it dips down to a nippy 60 degrees outside.

New bloggers and internet marketers often question the importance of tags. It appears Richard Heene, that real winner-of-a-dad who created the “balloon boy” hoax apparently knows how important they are. He’s amended the tags on his own youtube.com videos. All of his “Psyience Detectives” videos on youtube now bear the tags “Falcon Heene balloon boy 100th episode of ABC’s prime-time program Wife Swap in March six year old colorado falls out runaway home made rescue missing falconheene richard heene official youtube channel family.” Apparently in his “not a hoax” statement, he stated that he was “not selling anything. Not promoting anything.” Uh-huh. So why PROMOTE your own lame videos (for a show that networks passed on) with Falcon-geared tags that will pull viewers in?

Oy.
